​This week at school is usually a really busy week for us so the topic planning is jam packed with things we would like you to work on!

There are
-The usual daily lessons
-3 special challenges to complete
-Big Write
-A phonics reading challenge for Mrs Baillie and Mrs Mistry's group - see phonics uploads for this week
-All the usual extra activities and online resources to enjoy.

Please work through as much of it as you can and we hope you enjoy the topic as much as we do!  We look forward to seeing all the learning you do at home this week.

Here are our next three sounds to work on - ow, oi, ear

Learning new sounds at home can be very tricky so we have provided lots of different ways to work on each sound.  Just work through each sound at your won pace.  You can always continue them next week if you need more time.  Just do what you can!

Don't  forget to keep working on the sounds we have previously learnt as well as your keywords when you can.  Once you have learnt all 20 sets of keywords it is time to learn to write each set, starting from the beginning again!

There is also the Superhero reading challenge called Batman Saves the Day that we could like you to have a go at - please send us a video of you reading it for the first time!  Good Luck Superhereos!

Please work through the activities and don't forget to keep working on the sounds we have previously learnt as well as your keywords.

It is time to move onto some new sounds this week.  We would also like you to keep going over sounds already learnt to consolidate the learning.

This week we would like you to upload a video of you reading one of the Minibooks below for the first time so we can see how you are doing.  Good Luck!

Please let us know if you swap your reading books.  And don't forget the reading challenge for this week - you could use one of your new books to send us a clip! 

This week we are going to recap Phase 2 and Phase 3 sounds and also begin to work on 3 new sounds - ai, ee, igh

Please work through the activities at your own pace, the sounds begin to get trickier now so take time to make sure the children are really secure in them before they move on.  Also go back through previous sounds to consolidate learning.

Remember to continue to work on your keywords.

We would also love to see videos of you reading some sentences independently please.

Although it looks like the weather has changed for a while, that won't stop us learning about Spring Time!

We were due to visit Rookery Farm this week so please have a go at learning about farms at home instead.
