This is our very last topic for this year! It is always a fun one and ends with our dress up day. Please share photos in your groups so the children can see everyone taking part.
Tapestry PDFs have been emailed to you and are ready for you to download. They will close 7 days after being sent. After this date you will not be able to access or upload to your child's Tapestry account.
We hope you have a lovely Summer and we will see you when you return as Year One!
Take a look at the Year One blog page to see your new teachers!
In preparation for Father's Day on Sunday we have a week of planning focusing on our Dads (or significant male figure). We would love to see how you get on!
Keep working on keywords, reading and Phonics.
If you haven't already returned your library book and original reading books please can we have them returned to Reception, named. This just prevent confusion in September trying to locate missing books. You are welcome to take more books from Reception in return.
Please also let us know if you would like to collect your child's wellies.
This is our next topic which is very well timed giving the current climate!
This is a two week topic for the children who are not returning to school.
Observations will still be marked but please bear with us as our priority will be our time in school.
There will be no more Phonics distance learning. Please focus on sounds already learnt and reading and writing the keyword sets.
You have worked so hard on your Phonics at home. Here are our next three sounds - air, ure, er
Keep up the good work!
This week we would like you to continue working on your sounds and we also have two more mini books for you to work on - we would still like to see a video of you reading one of these for the first time.
his week we are going to recap previous Phase 3 sounds and also begin to work on 3 new sounds - ar, or, ur
Please work through the activities at your own pace, the sounds begin to get trickier now so take time to make sure the children are really secure in them before they move on. Also go back through previous sounds to consolidate learning.
Remember to continue to work on your keywords.
(please be aware when playing some of the Phonics Play games that we have not yet covered the sounds - ow, oi, ear, air, ure, er)
